It was amazing to see Matt and Jerome (aka Nitro) – two athletes from the Power Team – tear phone books apart, rip license plates down the middle, break bats on their thighs, curl steel beams, roll up skillets into metal burritos, and crush piles of bricks with their heads.
But the show that took place Saturday and Sunday night at the Sandy Creek High School gym was nothing compared to watching souls being saved – a truly breathtaking view of mostly youth standing up for the first time as members of the family of God.
A couple hundred people watch and listen to the Power Team, as they entertain with their feats of strength and then invite the unsaved to share in eternity.

Thank you to the Clay Center Christian Church for organizing this local Power Team event. The Power Team is a unique ministry aimed to bring youth to Christ. Following a show of strength by Power Team members, these talented athletes whose hearts are truly in the Lord’s work conduct an altar call. The show is free to attend – with the whole intent to attract individuals with the feats of strength and then invite them to share in eternity through salvation.
